Perhaps the happiest day of our lives was seeing our daughter after she had been at Hawaii Island Recovery for three months. She was serene and beautiful and seemed to have a new lease on life. The lovely island setting of the program no doubt plays a big part in the program’s success as do the variety of nurturing activities such as attending regular AA and NA meetings, exercising regularly, working with dolphins and horses, and spending quality time living and working with other people in recovery. All of these things, however, pale in comparison to the individual attention given to each client by a staff of well trained professionals who are caring and supportive of their clients, and who are committed to giving them the tools they need to live sober and productive lives. After meeting and talking to staff about our daughter and after witnessing her transformation, we knew we had made the right choice in Hawaii Island Recovery. – N & J
